This is your Race Guide with all the info you will need for your Aloha Long Beach weekend! We highly encourage that ALOHA SPIRIT so bust out that hula, tiki and island vibe gear, come on down, and have a great time! Post your pics! #aloharun

WAVE INFO
Wave 1 starts at 7:30am: This race is chip-timed and participants are eligible for winner awards. All participants will receive a finisher medal! 

Wave 2 starts at 8:00am: Chip timing is available – simply ask for your chip when you pick up your bib! Participants in this wave are not eligible for winner awards, however, all participants will receive a finisher medal!

 

YOUR BIB & RESULTS
• If you signed up before October 1, your bib number is here! Keep this number handy because you will be using it to check in. If you forget it, don't worry! They will also be posted at packet pick-up and race day registration. 
• If you signed up October 1 or after, your bib number will be posted onsite and you will be able to find it there.

Soon after the race, your results will be posted here!


WAIVERS
Every Aloha Run participant MUST SIGN A PAPER WAIVER, per our insurance carrier (even if you signed one online). In order to save time at packet pick-up and on race day, please print and sign the waiver and bring it with you.

Avoid the lines and have a relaxing race day morning! We recommend that you come to packet pick-up the day before the race, however you can also check in on race day. You will have the option to get your t-shirt and goodie bag after you hula your way through the Aloha Run 5k (so you don't have to carry them around or take them back to your car)!


PICKING UP PACKETS FOR FRIENDS OR FAMILY
Participants can pick up for other participants with:

  1. That person's signed waiver (Download Waiver HERE), and

  2. A photocopy or picture of that person's ID (smart phone/text photos are fine).

 

TRANSFERS
There are no refunds for this event, however you can transfer your bib to another person at packet pick-up or on race day. There is a $5 CASH ONLY transfer fee. 

 

  1. Download the transfer form HERE

  2. Both participants fill it out

  3. New participant brings that form PLUS a copy/pic of previous participant's ID (smart phone/text photos are fine) to packet pick-up or race day registration.

  4. Pay the $5 CASH ONLY fee

6:30am              Registration/Bib pick-up opens
7:15am              Aloha warm-up 1!
7:30am              Wave 1 Start (runners, eligible for awards)
7:45am              Aloha warm-up 2!
8:00am              Wave 2 Start (fun run, not eligible for awards)
8:30am              Top 3 M and F winners announced (Wave 1)
8:00-10am         Band plays for aloha after-party!
 

REGISTRATION AT PACKET PICK-UP AND RACE DAY
In-person registration will be available at packet pick-up and at the race - Bring $CASH$ for a discount! Online registration will close Saturday October 3 at 9pm.

HAWAIIAN FOOD
There will be Hawaiian food for purchase - CASH ONLY!

RULES & REGULATIONS
This event will take place unless for an unforeseen reason city officials deem it unsafe. In the event our race is cancelled, a reschedule date will be set and all entries will be transferred. We are sorry but no refunds will be given.

Aloha Run is for all ages. A race number/bib is required for each person on the course, including children. Jogging strollers are allowed without a race number/bib. All event aspects are subject to change without notification.


NOT ALLOWED ON THE COURSE: Roller skates, pets, bicycles, rollerblades, or skateboards.

Aquarium of the Pacific Parking Structure - Directions HERE!

  • From the 710 Freeway, follow direction signs to the Aquarium. The entrance to Aquarium parking is on Shoreline Dr on the right hand side, just before the "roller coaster" pedestrian bridge at Aquarium Way.

  • From the south, take Shoreline Dr to Aquarium Way. Left on Aquarium Way. The entrance is on the right just past Bubba Gump's.

 

$2.75 each 30 minutes

   â€“ Up to 3 hours is $3.50

   â€“ 3 to 4 hours is $5.25 plus each additional 30 minutes is $2.75

   â€“ $15 max/lost ticket

  • The entrance is on Chestnut and Shoreline Dr, just across the street from the Aquarium’s main lot. Please use the "roller coaster" pedestrian bridge to safely cross Shoreline Dr.
